Dr. Bob practices Holistic Chiropractic Care, along with nutritional assessment, allergy elimination, emotional techniques, cranial-sacral therapy, trigger point therapy, and cold laser therapies. Additionally, our office includes our Licensed Massage Therapist, Sarah Lofthus, and our Receptionist, Jessie Herring.

Our practice is prevention oriented and our staff is dedicated to the continued improvement of your health.


Dr. Robert L. Como "Dr. Bob", DC

Doctor Bob grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and attended school in both the Bay Area of Northern California and in Washington State. He served in the United States Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran. Bob originally moved to Alaska in 1981 to build houses. He worked here approximately 10 years before leaving to attend Life West Chiropractic College, graduating in 1994.
He loves his practice because “everybody is different in presentation, experience, and needs. Every day in practice is different and challenging.”
In his spare time, Dr. Bob also enjoys music, woodworking, Harley riding, the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots.


Sarah Lofthus, Licensed Massage Therapist

Sarah Lofthus is certified in Lymph Drainage Therapy. She graduated from Ashmead Massage College and participated in an extended program through the state of Alaska to further her understanding of how the body’s systems work. Sarah also practices Active Release Techniques, Craniosacral, acupressure, geriatric and pregnancy massage, and deep tissue modalities. Some of her professional goals are to educate the public about the benefits of massage and assist them in the recovery process and prevention of disease. She regards herself as an advocate for health. Sarah is dedicated to keeping her skills updated and recently attended Cleveland Chiropractic College to continue her education and apply credits towards Kinesiology. 
 


Jessie Herring, Receptionist

Jessie has grown up in the Anchorage area and is currently attending Nursing School at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She enjoys reading, playing guitar, and country dancing.
